Kirk Forthman

At age 15, Kirk has performed in the June Bug Jam for four years. A member of his school choir, he has been a three year member of All-State Choirs (OMEA Children's Chorus and OCDA Jr. High Chorus), and a six year member of All-District Choirs (Circle the State With Song and COCDA). 

  In addition, Kirk plays the violin in the Norman North orchestra, and has been a member of Central Oklahoma Honor Orchestra. He is a member of the Oklahoma Youth Philhamonia.  He has received Superior Ratings for both vocal and violin solos. Kirk is also active in his church choir.

Kirk enjoys musical theatre. He has performed for two years with the Cool Kids Opera, playing Frederick in Pirates of Penzance, and Ralph in HMS Pinafore. He also performed in the adult production of Pirates of Penzance, playing a policeman and a last-minute substitute for an ill pirate. He played Monsieur D'Arque in the Norman North production of Beauty in the Beast.

Kirk would like to say a special thank you to those teachers from whom he first learned to love music: Robert Lee Kidd III (aka Bob) and Kim McAlister.

Kirk plays the piano as well. His hobbies include playing video games, listening to music, and hanging out with his friends.
