A word of Thanks from the mental health consumers of
Transition House, Inc.:
Anyone living in the Norman community has good reason to have pride in their
community. This past Saturday, June 9th, was to us, Norman at it's best.
Transition House Inc. presented it's June Bug Jam at the Sooner Theatre. The
support given by the community was to make this event a huge success.
To thank all responsible would be almost an impossible task.
We are clients at Transition House and everyday we see the unwavering
dedication of the staff and board of directors. The time and energy given by
them is done with love and caring. That love and caring was also given by the
Norman community at this years June Bug Jam.
The clients of Transition house would like to thank everyone that gave their
time, money, and support. The talent presented was exceptional and anyone who
didn't make it this year we hope to see you next year. Thanks again to all
involved. We give this thanks with all our love. God bless the Norman Community.

A word of Thanks from the Executive Director of
Transition House, Inc.:
On behalf of everyone at Transition House, Inc., please accept our thanks to
everyone who was a part of our annual benefit talent show, June Bug Jam. This
year's show was a huge success and was very well attended. If all projections
are accurate and pledges made to the event come through, our community will have
helped raise over $13,000, with a net earning of over $11,500, to help support
mental health consumers in transition through the work of Transition House, Inc.
This year's show had twenty one contestants and two special performance
groups -- "Sister Act" and the "1/2 Monty." Every performer
in this year's show was outstanding. They gave it their all and the audience
appreciated the wonderful diversity of talent in the show. The judges had a very
difficult task in determining the winners in this year's show and actually an
error in the tallying process caused us to not report some of the actual winners
in some categories. Transition House, Inc., would like publicly apologize to those
who did not have the opportunity to be acknowledged as winners the night of the
show.
The following is the actual final results of the talent competition. In the
Adult Division -- first place went to Gary Upton, guitarist; second place to
Katie Sherry & Charlie Rayle, vocalist and guitar; third place to Robin
Grant, vocalist. In the Youth Division -- first place went to Tara Core, dancer;
second place, Melissa Montgomery, vocalist; third place, Miranda Schoech,
vocalist/dancer.
The audience got to vote on the competition between the special performance
groups and though it was decided that Sister Act received more applause than the
1/2 Monty -- it was a very close call and the "sisters" have decided
to share the floating trophy with the members of the 1/2 Monty. Both groups of
community volunteers did an amazing job of entertaining the audience.
Every performer in June Bug Jam was amazing and gave a wonderful night of
entertainment for the over 300 who attended the show at the Sooner Theatre.
Special thanks to each and every performer who gave their best in support of
mental health consumers! Also thanks to the Sooner Theatre for granting our
agency use of the theater and for providing wonderful support staff the day of
the show.
If you missed this year's show, but wish you had been there, thanks to

sponsor. We would like to make special acknowledgements of the three top

From our outstanding emcee, to our judges, endless volunteers -- especially

many who contributed to the silent auction, the performers, and the many who
attended the show and/or supporter the event through buying tickets and

chance and hope for their future.
