Cori Cagley:
My name is Cori Cagley.
I’m from Purcell
,
OK
and I’m 19-years-old. In the
fall I will be a sophomore at OU… Go Sooners!
I’ve been singing since I was a little girl and have sung in many
events. Last September I sang
at the State Colgate Country Showdown at the Win Star Casino, I sang in
this year’s OU’s Sooner Idol, I’ve sung in previous June Bug Jams,
and also in church. Besides
singing, I really enjoy spending much of my time working out.
After all, I did meet my boyfriend there. I also love to spend time
with my family, especially if it involves shopping!

Katherine Gaines:
Katherine was born and raised in Oklahoma. Her parents are
Robert and Kimberly Wheelock, and she has a little brother and little
sister. Her favorite things to do, other than singing, are hanging
out with friends, shopping (she works at J. C. Penneys so she says that's
where half her paycheck goes!) and she loves animals: cats, birds,
and dogs mostly. She has been singing since she was four years old
and hasn't really thought of making that as a profession until about 2
years ago. If singing doesn't work out for her (basically, she
states "If my dreams get shot down") then she will go back to
college in Seminole and start her career as a Dental Hygienist... A
family might come after that, but she has to get a boyfriend first!

Lauren Root:

Renee
Russell:
Renee started singing when she was 3 years
old. Although her parents were strongly encouraged to get her
voice lessons, it simply didn't happen. She was in a band singing
both lead and back parts after her graduation from high school. It
only lasted through the summer, but it gave her a good start in the
preparation for performance. 3 years ago, Renee started taking
voice lessons with Mardi Ray and started performing more solos in
church and in public. Not only does she own a business as a
massage therapist, she home schools 2 of her 4 children and is also
the music minister at her Church where she directs the congregational
singing and works with the teens developing a youth/children's choir.
Her desire always has been with the music industry, and her main goal in
that area is to one day cut a CD and compete in the GMA Music in the
Rockies.

Kelly
Mae:
Kelly
Mae is now a 20 year-old aspiring country music singer. From the time she
was three and making up songs on long car rides, all the way through High
School Kelly Mae has always had a love and a passion for music. This will
be Kelly’s second year participating in Transition House’s June Bug
Jam. Kelly is a regular performer at the Oklahoma Opry and she was once a
board member for the Oklahoma Country Music Association (OCMA), as well as
singing at many of their different functions
throughout the years. Kelly also enjoys singing at various events
in her hometown of
Piedmont
,
Oklahoma
such as Fourth of July and Founders Day.
Every year around Christmas-time, Kelly sings at Crossroads Mall
and for the elderly at a local nursing home. Singing is such a joy and
important part of Kelly’s life that it is natural for her to want to
share it with others. Kelly plans on moving to
Nashville
in 6 months and would love to have the whole state of
Oklahoma
behind her.

Jacquelyne Butts:
Jacquelyne has been singing since she could talk. It has always
been her passion. Even though she has taken professional voice
lessons all of her life, she never really made a serious commitment to her
music until she started instruction under Joan Colee and became a part of
Brentwood Singers. She has studied with Joan for 3 years and since
that time has blossomed and she is continuing to bloom. She has also
been a part of Cantebury Chorale for 4 years and has been a soloist for
them in the Messiah. She has been contracted at several churches in
the community and recently presented her father with her first CD on his
80th Birthday!

Jenny Casey:
Jenny Casey is just your ordinary working
mom........BUT NOT YOUR ORDINARY COUNTRY ARTIST!!! In an age when music
gets so far out there that no one can relate, Jenny reels it right back
in. A singer/songwriter whose music humors and hits home, Jenny is one
artist that understands her fans, and understands what country music is
all about!!!
A wife, mother of four, and schoolteacher,
Jenny grew up in
Oklahoma
. She's been messing around with music all of her life, and even plays the
piano with her big toe! But when she's not busy with the day-to-day grind,
she's busy writing songs. Some of her best ones hit her while she's
washing dishes or sweeping the floor (and there's plenty of that to do!)
Her CD, "It’s About Damn Time",
produced by Phil Lister in
Nashville
, has got something for everyone! Containing ten of her original songs,
Jenny definitely speaks out for women, but she also manages to connect
with the guys too. Not to mention, grandma, Uncle Fred, and the kids!!!
The point is, Jenny's music is real, fun, and REAL FUN!!
Jenny enjoys performing locally, but her
songs are being played by country radio globally! She’s made the country
charts in Europe, hit various independent country charts in the
U.S.
, and has even made the Roots Music Report worldwide charts! She’s
gotten rave reviews from newspapers, radio, and industry insiders who all
agree- Jenny Casey is the REAL DEAL!
