Melissa Maynarich
News 9 Noon and 4:00pm Anchor Melissa
Maynarich joined NEWS 9 in July of 2006. With this latest move to Oklahoma,
Melissa’s career has taken her from the beach, to the mountains, and now to
the heartland.
Melissa jump-started her career working as a reporter in January of 2004 at
KTVM in Bozeman, Montana; in five months she began anchoring the News at Six and
News at Ten. Her prior preparation included internships at KEYT in Santa
Barbara, KABC in Los Angeles and KECI in Missoula, Montana while completing her
degree in communication and professional writing at the University
of California, Santa Barbara.
Melissa loves her job and the wonderful people of Oklahoma with its great
community. "I can't believe how fortunate I am to be paid for doing this
exciting and important work. Oklahoma is awesome (and so is the football)!"
Outside of news, Melissa loves family, friends, the outdoors and
Oklahoma’s spectacular sunshine!
