June Bug Jam 2005 Headliner

Summer Clifton

is back as a 2006 All Star!!!
In 2005, Summer wowed the audience of June Bug Jam with her
amazing vocal talent and range. The only thing bigger than this young
woman's voice is her heart. We're so glad she can join us once again for
June Bug Jam 2006!

No surprise, this 21 year old was born in Oklahoma, with the confidence and
personality to match the season for which she was named. Don't let her petite
size fool you, her voice is as big as the country and cool as a summer breeze.
Her earthy tones will capture you while her bluesy yet big sound will take you
away. Summer is the youngest of five siblings and lives on her family's century
old farm.
This young , honest to goodness natural talent has been NOTICED by folks all
over Texas and Oklahoma and her first CD has just been produced by Grammy award
and CMA award winner Randy Scruggs. While her fan club is growing, YOU can catch
her performing at popular venues like the Grape Vine Opry in Texas, Mesquite,
Texas Rodeo Music Hall, Johnnie High Music Revue in Texas and the Garland Gospel
Opry. Just recently she opened for the City of Bethany Oklahoma Freedom Festival
for TOP acts such as Ty Herndon, Blackhawk, Kelley McGuire, Katrina Elam, opened
for Ty England at the OKC state fair grounds arena, and opened for Leann Rimes
in Austin, Texas.

Her goals on a larger scale are to ultimately become a "legend"
like some of her musical icons; Patsy Cline, Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, Dolly
Parton, Roberta Flack and Sarah Vaughn. Besides being influenced by these major
talents she says the wide-open spaces of her home, experiences in life and
family give her the inspiration to sing and write. Her voice has been compared
to the power of Linda Ronstadt and the purity of Patsy Cline, There is no doubt
that Summer is more than a season, her voice will keep you cool in the Summer
and warm in the winter and that kind of climate will always KEEP you in the
comfort zone and wanting more!
