Partners in Recovery
Hard WOrking
TH’s Board works hard to provide quality guidance and oversight as our agency looks to the future with hope and determination. Working together with community volunteers, we see the positive impact of our partnerships.
Fun Loving
Work is often made easier when fun is involved. Whether raising funds for or celebrating with the People of Transition House - TH’s Board knows the value of having fun while working hard.
Valued
The People of Transition House value our Board. This hard working group of volunteers partners with staff to create hope and opportunities for those seeking a better life.
Keith Minnis serves as Board President of The Transition House in Norman, Oklahoma, driven by both professional expertise and a deep personal commitment to the community he has served for over 20 years.
Serving as Board President of The Transition House in Norman, Oklahoma is both a professional responsibility and a deeply personal commitment for me. Having lived and worked in Norman for more than two decades, I care deeply about the clients, communities, and partner agencies we serve. This is not just where I work — it is home.
The Transition House plays a critical role in providing stability, structure, and hope to individuals navigating mental health and substance use challenges. I spent the first 12 years of my career in behavioral medicine, serving as a childcare worker, social worker, and leader within freestanding psychiatric and chemical dependency hospitals across the full continuum of care, including psychiatric practice management. Those formative years shaped my understanding of how essential quality, transitional environments and therapeutic cultures are to long-term recovery and community reintegration.
I chose to serve because I believe in strengthening systems of care that restore dignity and create sustainable pathways forward. The Transition House represents that mission in action. As Board President, I am committed to advancing its impact, supporting our leadership and staff, and ensuring we remain a trusted resource for those who need us most.
